AVR VOLTAGE REGULATOR

The SINCRO SK160 CB alternator produces AC (alternating current) which is rectified and converted to DC by a diode bridge. The AVR regulator constantly monitors the SINCRO SK160 CB output and compares it with a set reference. If the output is below the reference, the AVR regulator increases the alternator excitation current to increase the output voltage.
