SINCRO AVR DBL1 DIGITAL

SINCRO AVR DBL1 is an Automatic Voltage Regulator, a device able to stabilize the output voltage of a generator set to power electronic equipment.

SINCRO AVR DBL1 is part of a family of microprocessor based digital voltage regulators.
designed for use on 50/60Hz brushless alternators. SINCRO AVR DBL1 adjusts the output voltage of an alternator by controlling the current in the exciter field of the alternator. The modular architecture allows optimization for different applications.

Since the generator set alternator is a synchronous machine, to work it needs an external excitation current (continuous) necessary to magnetize the rotor (rotating element). The AVR acts on this excitation current.

When the generator frequency drops below the selected knee frequency set point, the unit adjusts so that the generator voltage follows the V/Hz curve.
When operating on the V/Hz curve, the UNDERFREQUENCY ACTIVE indicator lights.
The knee frequency is adjustable from 40 to 58Hz in 0.5Hz increments.

The regulator controls the output voltage of the detected generator.
If the voltage exceeds the limit value, the AVR DBL1 SYNCHRO AVR is in the alarm state.

The excitation limit of AVR SYNCRO is adjustable from 0 to 100% in 0.1% increments.
When the overexcitation limit is exceeded, SYNCHRO DBL1 is in the ESCITATION LIMIT alarm state.
During alternator short circuit, excitation is at the maximum limit value.

The communication port on AVR DBL1 SYNCHRO provides the interface for user programming, supervision and testing with PC or any other HOST computer.
