MECC ALTE ASR ANALOGUE VOLTAGE REGULATOR

Regulator Mecc Alte ASR (Analogic Simplified Regulator) allows for precise voltage regulation, extreme ease of use and has low speed protection.

The Mecc Alte ASR analogic regulator is a feedback system in which the variable kept constant is the alternator output voltage. This voltage, after suitable conditioning, is compared with a stabilized signal, which produces an error signal which, suitably amplified and compensated, in turn produces a control level which enters a pulse width modulator.

The output of this modulator causes an SCR to conduct with continuous production, which, being subjected to the electromagnetic conversion produced by the operation of the generator, is transformed into the output voltage of the generator.

The Mecc Alte ASR (Analogic Simplified Regulator) regulator is used as standard on Mecc Alte ES and ET alternators

"VOLT"
This function allows you to adjust the voltage generated by the alternator

"STAB"
Rotating the potentiometer clockwise the stability decreases, the response time decreases but the voltage tends to be less stable.

As you turn the potentiometer counterclockwise, the response time increases and the voltage tends to be more stable. It may happen that with the potentiometer turned very counterclockwise there are variations in the output voltage.

"Hz"
The regulator is equipped with low fre quency protection. When the frequency of the generator output voltage falls below the value of a given threshold, the regulator lowers the generator output voltage in order to prevent overexcitation. The function of the "Hz" trimmer is to adjust the protection trip threshold. For electronic regulators of normal production, said threshold is pre-set around minus 10 percent of the rated frequency value.
