Both the engine and alternator of the Paguro9000 marine generators are water-cooled: as they do not require ventilation for cooling, noise is drastically reduced. What's more, the outer shell has a single small opening for combustion air intake with a labyrinth path that prevents noise from escaping; the outer shell is made of multi-layer reinforced fibreglass and lined with high-density neoprene for maximum sound insulation.
