SICES GC400 control board for generating set

SICES MC400 is a microcontroller control board, suitable to manage the power grid (and its switch) in plants composed by several gensets working in parallel.

More than one SICES MC400 board is allowed per plant, to manage multiple power grids. SICES MC400 performs a continuous control of voltage characteristics; in case of abnormal voltages, it can immediately intervene on MCB switch (protection of users from abnormal voltages) and command the start of generators to feed users (AMF function). Upon return to optimal conditions, it allows the synchronization of the gensets to the network itself ("synchronization of return"), avoiding a black-out on the users ("parallel passage").

SICES MC400 continuously monitors the grid to detect any faults on the grid while the generators are in parallel with it (interface protection): in case of anomalies, it opens the MCB switch to isolate the generators from the grid.

SICES MC400 is a "master" device, designed to manage one MCB (Mains Circuit Breaker) and one MGCB (Master Gensets Circuit Breaker). This makes the controller particularly suitable and effective for grid-parallel, grid-parallel and mixed installations.

SICES MC400 is designed to synchronize all gensets (controlled by SICES  parallel boards) with the grid at the same time, with gradual transfer of consumers from the gensets to the grid, thus avoiding power failure on the consumers during the parallel switchover. The included logic of generators management according to the load, integrates perfectly with the same management present in the SICES MC400 parallel boards.

SICES MC400 can be used in combination with SICES GC400 control boards only. In addition, if the installation includes a junction, it can be controlled by the SICES MC400 board. The communication between the boards is managed with a single CANBUS connection (PMCBus).
